Designing a Dark Interface That Still Feels Light

Dark interfaces are not just black backgrounds and white text. The best ones use layered surfaces, restrained borders, and one accent color to guide the eye.

For this blog, I started with a charcoal base, softened the cards with a hint of purple, and reduced image brightness so every element belongs to the same visual system.

The result feels calm rather than heavy, and the content remains easy to scan.
